Critical Media Pedagogy in the Public Interest

Abstract


This article examines pedagogical issues that arise from teaching

in a critical media studies program that incorporates significant

experiential learning into its curriculum. In this self-reflective

article, the authors explore the challenges of marrying theory

andpractice in an undergraduate program aimed at empowering

students to help create a more socially just world.
