1980 Fall Armyworm Symposium: Monitoring and Predicting Fall Armyworm Infestations in North Carolina

Fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith), losses are greatest in bermudagrass and corn or sorghum planted after 1 May in North Carolina. A Field Crop Fall Armyworm Alert using indicator fields of corn and bermuda has been successful in providing an early warning of impending fall armyworm damage.
