1980 Fall Armyworm Symposium: Suppression of Fall Armyworm Populations by Incorporation of Insecticides into Irrigation Water
Abstract
Larvae of the fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith), infesting corn were controlled when chlorpyrifos + oil was applied in irrigation water with a center-pivot irrigation system. Control was achieved with 0.1 and 0.3 in (2700 and 8100 gal) water/acre.
