This is the first comprehensive listing of types held by the Staten Island Institute of Arts and Sciences. The insect collection was started by William T. Davis in 1882. Pinned specimens representing 16 orders number approximately one-half million. Eighty-seven holotypes, 4 lectotypes, and synotypes for 59 species are listed with references to original descriptions.
