Floral design buying preferences of students at Florida Southern College

John L. Griffis Jr.

Abstract

During the spring 2001 and 2002 terms, students at Florida Southern College evaluated 6 floral designs. Each student was asked to circle a dollar value on a sliding scale that indicated how much money he or she would be willing to pay for each arrangement. These data were compared against calculated retail cost data of the arrangements. Students were also asked to choose which one of the six floral designs they would select if only one were available to them for free.
